New Senior Minister commencing 2021
We are excited to announce that Jonathan Prince will be joining NewDay in 2021 as Senior Minister.
Jonathan is an accredited and endorsed minister with Churches of Christ Victoria & Tasmania and holds a Bachelor of Theology from the Australian College of Ministries. He’s married to Sarah and has two young children, Reuben and Matilda and they also have a dog called Randy. The family enjoy the outdoors with Jonathan a keen soccer player. He enjoys spicy foods, ice cream, board games and just having a laugh.
Following the Holy Spirit’s leading, Jonathan recently took a step of faith leaving Williamstown Church of Christ in Melbourne, not knowing fully where God was leading him and his family.
At Williamstown Jonathan held the Senior Minister’s position in an interim capacity and was also Associate Minister where he gained experience in all facets of Church ministry. Jonathan has an extensive history in children’s and youth ministry through Bendigo Church of Christ where he served as Youth and Young Adults Intern and Pastor over 8 years.
Jonathan and Sarah feel God’s calling to NewDay and our Board has a united peace in this decision. On 1 November 2020, the church ratified this decision at a Special Meeting.
So when does Jono start?
Details are still being finalised but it will be in the new year. Please pray for them as they prepare to move to Wollongong.
The Board wishes to sincerely thank and honour Ken and Alison who have faithfully and generously served our NewDay community over the last two years in an interim capacity.
