AGM and Board Elections
There will be an election for two positions on the Church Board on Sunday, 22nd November 2020. Voting will be available before and after the morning service only (as there is currently no 5pm service). The people elected will serve a term of three years.
These two positions are the result of Matt Brophey and Chris Keller completing their current terms. The Board is pleased to announce that Matt Brophey and Navi Lakelin have been nominated for these positions. Continue to prayerfully consider who you would choose to be leaders in our church.
- Matt Brophey runs a life group and is faithfully involved in the prayer life of our church. He is a police officer and has a passion for others. Since 2015, Matt has served on the Board including a role as Chair for the past 2 years and is restanding for another term on the Board.
- Navi Lakelin has been a part of our family for a number of years. She is retired and coordinates life groups at NewDay, is a passionate mentor, a speaker with CWCI Australia and a chaplain with Mother Hubbard’s Camden. We are excited that she will bring a depth of wisdom and a different perspective to the Board.
Nominations close this Sunday, 15th November (see Hayden for a nomination form).
Members are reminded of the following items from the Church Procedures:
Who can vote: Those entitled to vote shall be Regular Worshippers of the church who are 16 years and older.
Absentee Voting: An absentee vote shall be valid only if submitted on a ballot paper obtained from the Church Administrator and returned in a plain sealed envelope, marked “Ballot Paper”, not later than the commencement of the Annual Church Meeting (12pm on 22 Nov).
