What have you been doing to keep yourself busy?
Every day flies by so quickly, I have been doing jobs that I never seem to get done because I’m away from home a lot. I’ve cleaned sorted and catalogued craft drawers, clothing, kitchen cupboards and laundry. Cleaned the garage. Done numerous other small tasks. Written heaps of cards and letters. needing to get into the garden but that’s for another week.
How have you been connecting with God?
Almost every day I spend an hour or more in the Word and in silence listening to His voice.
How have you been connecting with the people around you?
I’ve been visiting my neighbour across the road and the new lady in the back flat. Taking them little tasties and having a chat. I’m in contact with the ladies in the Life Group, a very special group of wonderful women. Written cards.
What is your hope in this time of trial?
I hope that we as people will reassess our lives and take time to invest in our own spiritual lives, that we will be a people of light, hope, encouragement, compassion and vulnerability. That out of this period of time we will indeed be the hands and feet of Jesus to those around us. We have seen the worst of people in their self grabbing, how wonderful it would be to see the best of people behaving like Jesus may love, kindness and mercy be what we are known for.
What encouragement would you like to give to our Church family?
Be strong, Be focused, Be kind, Be gentle, Be loving, Be understanding its not all about you, You are called by His name and He will give you all that you need in this time as you keep your eyes fixed on Him. He has promised to never leave you not forsake you. Jesus keeps His promises.
Is there any way our Church family can pray for or support you right now?
Pray that I will be wise in all that I do. I have to make a decision regarding the progress of my Mother’s will, this requires legal intervention, how to be loving, merciful and kind in this situation.
